Julie Eoff was born and raised on the South Plains of Texas and received her Bachelor’s degree in Communicative Disorders from the University of New Mexico in 1991. She used American Sign Language (ASL) to fulfill her foreign language requirement in her degree program. Julie’s initial interest in sign language came about at an early age when she saw the opportunity to use it to help a friend with a hearing deficit understand the Bible stories at her church. Julie home schooled her three children and taught ASL during that time. From 2018-2020 Julie taught ASL to Freshmen and Sophomores at a local Christian high school to meet their foreign language requirement. She is now licensed to teach an ASL curriculum to younger students, and is thrilled to share her knowledge of ASL with the Lubbock community!
